"I Manipulated My Best Friend
On This Minecraft SMP"

Story Progression + Builder's Plan — 30 Segments, ~60 Minutes

The Premise: Rice wakes up alone on a Minecraft server with no memory. His friends are gone. Dark figures attack him. In his dreams, he visits beautiful worlds where everyone was happy.

The Twist: Rice is the reason everyone left. The dark figures are his friends. The PvP fights were Rice attacking people who tried to help him. The beautiful dreams were his mind rewriting his crimes as heroism. The audience was cheering for the villain the entire time.

Act 1 — "The Lie"

Segments 1–9 / ~18 minutes / The audience believes Rice completely.
1
TERROR
The Void — Cold Open
BLACK. Rice wakes in an infinite void. White Figures surround him — faceless, white, reaching. He fights them. A Red Figure appears: "You know what you did." Rice dies. Wakes up gasping in his empty base.
On rewatch: The Red Figure = Dark Rice (his guilt). The White Figures = his friends, reaching for him. The void = the Dark World. This was the truth trying to wake him up from frame one.
2
DESOLATE
The Empty Server
Rice explores the server alone. Beautiful builds, nobody in them. Finds Photo #1 — a group shot, caption: "I hope you remember us." Sits at the meeting spot. Five empty chairs. Sees a White Figure between the trees.
3
ADRENALINE
The First Attack
Rice's house alone on infinite plains. Farlands on the horizon. A Dark Figure appears from black smoke. Garbled voice: "...you lied...to her..." Intense first-person PvP. Rice wins. The audience cheers.
On rewatch: This was [Friend A] trying to confront Rice about his manipulation. Rice attacked them.
4
WONDER
White Space
Rice falls asleep. Opens his eyes in an infinite white void — a single lightbulb, a grand stone gateway. Calm. Safe. He steps through the gateway into color and warmth.
Locations Used
5
BEAUTIFUL
Vast Forest — The Golden Age
The most beautiful location in the video. Oversized flowers, golden light, giant trees. The friends are HERE — all six of them. The female lead pulls Rice into the group. Montage of the golden age. Rice narrates over it — warm, broken, missing this. "I don't want to wake up."
Locations Used
6
UNEASY
Vast Forest — The First Crack
Still in the forest but the light has shifted to amber. Rice watches from the edge — the group seems to be excluding him. Whispering, glancing, plans he's not part of. A memory glitches — for one frame, they're just happy. Normal. Not plotting against him. One flower turns gray.
On rewatch: The friends were never excluding Rice. They were just being friends. Rice's mind distorted normal interactions into conspiracy.
Locations Used
7
UNSETTLING
The Tunnel
Night. Rice follows a White Figure into a tunnel that dissolves into void. Floating memory dioramas in the dark. A second Dark Figure — barely fights back. They kill each other. Mutual destruction.
On rewatch: [Friend B] didn't want to fight. They were trying to leave. Rice cornered them. The "mutual kill" was self-defense.
Locations Used
8
CURIOUS
The Dark World — Distorted Town
A distorted dark town in the void — wrong proportions, scrambled signs, melting houses. Rice chases a white silhouette (the female lead). She speaks one line: "Why did you do it?" Finds Photo #2: "It was never them. Look closer."
Locations Used
9
DECAYING
Vast Forest — Dying
Back in Vast Forest but it's dying. Gray twilight. Wilting flowers. Trees losing leaves. Rice remembers [Friend A] being "aggressive" — his distorted version. The forest keeps decaying. Rice's version of events: [Friend A] betrayed the group.
Locations Used

End of Act 1

The audience trusts Rice completely. They hate the dark figures. They love the dream world. They want Rice to solve the mystery. Everything is a lie.

Act 2 — "The Cracks"

Segments 10–20 / ~22 minutes / The truth starts bleeding through. The audience begins to doubt.
10
CRACKING
The Beautiful Castle — The Memory
The Beautiful Castle — a grand pink castle. But something's wrong. Halls that lead nowhere. Proportions that don't make sense. Rice's memory of the female lead's build, distorted.
Locations Used
11
INTENSE
Third Fight — The Ruins
Third Dark Figure in [Friend C]'s ruins. Fast, chaotic, screaming. Distorted: "STOP! PLEASE!" The figure stops fighting. Just stands there. Lets Rice do it.
On rewatch: [Friend C] was panicking. Running for their life. They gave up because there was nowhere left to go.
12
CRACKING
Castle — The Theft
Rice's version: [Friend C] stole from the group. But the memory glitches — for one flash, the hands reaching into the chest are Rice's hands. The female lead looks at RICE with the expression of betrayal. The castle starts crumbling.
13
DREAD
The Dark World — Faceless Area
Structures in the void with faceless mannequin figures. Frozen in everyday poses but with no faces. They're building things from the real server. Wall inscription: "WHY DID YOU TAKE OUR FACES?" and "I MANIPULATED MY BEST FRIEND." Photo #3: "Look in the mirror. Really look."
14
PARANOID — MIDPOINT
The Evidence
Rice investigates the server like a crime scene. [Friend B]'s items packed neatly. [Friend C]'s build destroyed. In [Friend D]'s build: Photo #4 — the group shrinking one by one. Caption: "It always ends the same way. It always ends with you." Rice's mind flips: he thinks he's the target. They were all conspiring against him.
15
ISOLATION
The Dark World — Rain Area
Flat dark land. Endless rain. The female lead stands in the rain — the only light. She speaks: "They left because of you." She steps off the cliff. Falls backward. Dissolves into rain.
Locations Used
16
DESPERATE
The House — Fourth Fight
Rice finds a hidden room under his house — stolen items, Photo #5 of Rice mid-attack with his own handwriting: "Don't forget what you did." White Figures attack. He flees underground. Fourth Dark Figure — fights strategically, salutes before the duel. "...you need...help...please..." The room seals permanently.
On rewatch: [Friend D] figured out everything. They weren't fighting — they were trying to talk. The salute was a friend's goodbye.
17
OPPRESSIVE
The Dark World — Punishment Area
A prison. Each cell contains a frozen diorama of what Rice did to each friend. The last cell is empty. Sign: "THIS CELL IS FOR YOU." Below it: "I MANIPULATED MY BEST FRIEND."
18
SINKING
Deep Well — Drowning
An Underwater Highway — a road at the bottom of the sea lined with drowned server builds. The friends are frozen inside, happy, unreachable. The female lead sinks into the abyss. The road ends at nothing. Rice's narration voice is cracking — the deadpan is failing.
19
GRIEF
Vast Forest — Death
The Vast Forest is dead. Gray, leafless, crumbling. The forest collapses — trees topple, ground breaks into void. A crater where the golden age memory was. The female lead: "You can still remember us. Even without all of this." She fades. The safe place is gone. No more dreams.
Locations Used
20
RESOLVE — END OF ACT 2
The Choice
Rice lays out all 4 photos on his bed. "They all point here." He sits at the meeting spot. The empty chairs. "I keep trying to remember... and something stops me. Like there's a wall in my head." He goes to bed. "I'm scared." Two words. No deflection. He closes his eyes.
Locations Used

End of Act 2

The audience is terrified. The evidence is screaming. Rice hasn't confessed — but the smart viewers have pieced it together. The dreams are dead. There's nothing left to escape to. Act 3 is the fall.

Act 3 — "The Truth"

Segments 21–30 / ~20 minutes / Everything is revealed. Nothing can be undone.
21
FALSE COMFORT
The Castle — The Golden Memory
Rice falls asleep and wakes in the Beautiful Castle — pristine. Beautiful. The friends are all there. Laughing. The female lead smiles and waves him over. It's perfect. But for one frame — a flicker. The walls crack. The friends go dark. Then it resets. Beautiful again.
22
SHATTERING
Castle — "WAKE UP"
The friends are wrong. Frozen in poses. Empty plates. [Friend D] holds a book. Rice opens it — all blank except the last page: "WAKE UP." Hard cut — dark version of the castle. Empty. Dead. The book survives the cut. The castle breaks. Rice falls.
23
HORROR
The Dark World — The Doors (Door 1)
Four doors in the void, each lit by a spotlight. Names scratched into them. A fifth door — no name, no light. Rice opens Door 1 ([Friend A]). The Seg 3 PvP replays — but the dark figure now has [Friend A]'s real face. They weren't attacking. They were saying "What are you DOING?"
24
DEVASTATING
Doors 2, 3, 4
Rapid fire. Each PvP replayed with the friend's real face. [Friend B] — hands up, no sword, cornered. [Friend C] — screaming "STOP!", gave up running. [Friend D] — saluted goodbye, reached for Rice's hand: "...you need help...please..." Spotlights go out one by one. Total darkness.
25
QUIET
The Lost Library
A vast library. A cloaked figure tends it. Each friend has a book — the truth from their perspective. The figure pulls back their hood: it's Rice. The version who never forgot. An unnamed book sits on the table — Rice's own story. He can't open it yet.
Locations Used
26
ANNIHILATING
The Fifth Door — The Staircase
A grand staircase in the void. At the bottom: the female lead. The real one. "You did all of this." / "I don't hate you. I wish I did." / "Goodbye, Rice." She walks down the stairs into the dark. Gone. Rice's mind explains the amnesia — after she left, his mind just closed. Erased everything.
Locations Used
27
CONFRONTATION
The Crumbled House — Red Space
Rice's house on the plains — ruined. A figure steps out: Dark Rice. Crimson skin, red eyes — the Red Figure from Segment 1. They walk together across the plains as the world corrupts into Red Space. Red concrete, crimson sky, heartbeat hum. "You know who I am."
28
SELF-DESTRUCTION
Rice vs. Rice
The final PvP. But every hit Rice lands damages himself. Dark Rice doesn't take damage. "You can't hurt me. I'm the truth." Rice's sword breaks. No weapon. No health. "Stay down. Forget again. Build another dream world."
Locations Used
29
TRANSCENDENCE
The Choice — Acceptance
Rice gets back up. No sword. Just standing. Walks toward Dark Rice. Each hit triggers a flashback — the golden forest, the fights, the friends, the staircase. He falls. Gets back up. Falls. Gets back up. Reaches Dark Rice and hugs him. Dark Rice dissolves into light. Two halves become one. "I'm not going to forget again."
30
MONTAGE — FINALE
"The Server Is Still Open"
Cinematic montage. Music-synced cuts — beautiful and horrifying moments alternating with dialogue fragments from the entire video. Then a shift: "These places exist." "Built in Minecraft." "If you look for them... you'll find what he left behind." The empty server. A book on the table: "I manipulated my best friend."

[Rice] has left the game.
[Rice] is trying to reconnect...
"The server is still open."

The Core Twist

First watch: A mystery/survival story that becomes psychological horror. The audience roots for Rice, cheers during PvP fights, falls in love with the dream world, and slowly realizes they've been watching through the eyes of the villain.

Second watch: A horror film from the first frame. Every PvP fight is Rice attacking a friend. Every flashback is a lie. Every garbled voice is a real scream. The photos are evidence. The title is a confession. The audience was manipulated — just like Rice manipulated his friends.

The psychology: Rice genuinely doesn't remember what he did. His mind repressed everything — built a dream world to hide in, turned his friends into faceless monsters, kept the female lead alive only in dreams because it couldn't accept she left. The video is Rice's mind breaking open, one memory at a time, until there's nothing left to hide behind.

Additions (Intermediate)

Meeting Spot area
The Meeting Spot Addition
Segments: 22030
Location: 161, 142, -258. This hilltop area near the city needs to be built into the meeting spot. Add: five chairs arranged in a circle/semicircle, an unlit campfire in the center, old signs, shared chests with remnants. Clear some trees to create a clearing at the top with a view overlooking the city. Should feel like a place where laughter used to live — elevated, open, with the empty city visible below.
A recurring visual motif. Rice returns here to sit, to look at empty chairs, to try to remember. In Seg 20, he sits in his own chair, lays out photos, says "I'm scared." In Seg 30, the chairs appear in the final montage — empty, morning light.

Meeting spot — view 1
Meeting spot — view 2
Meeting spot — surrounding area
Friend B build area
[Friend B]'s Build Addition
Segments: 14
Location: expand the forested area behind the fairy house (blue crystal structure). Clear a huge plot in this forest for [Friend B]'s builds. Intricate, creative, personal — detail-oriented, small-scale, beautiful work. The quiet builder's paradise. Items arranged carefully before leaving. Everything put away. Neat. Orderly. Like someone who knew they were leaving and wanted to leave things right. The natural forest setting fits [Friend B]'s personality — someone who preferred building away from the city, in peace.
Rice investigates this build in Seg 14. The neatness tells the story — this person didn't leave in anger. They packed up. Said goodbye to their things. They'd been thinking about leaving for a long time.
Coordinates (To be filled by builder)

Friend C build — same plot, destroyed
[Friend C]'s Build Addition
Segments: 1114
Same expanded plot as [Friend B] (behind the fairy house). Build one of [Friend C]'s structures on the plot, then DESTROY it. Not abandoned — intentionally broken. Blocks broken. Chests looted. Someone attacked this place on purpose. Damage patterns visible. Overgrown with vines. Ruins of something that was once energetic and chaotic — half-finished projects, colorful but shattered. The contrast between [Friend B]'s neat, intact builds and [Friend C]'s destroyed one on the same plot tells the story.
Versions Needed (2 Maps)
  • RUINS — NORMAL (Seg 14): Daylight, normal colors. The destroyed build on the plot among the other friend builds. City visible around. Rice investigates in clear light — sad, not scary.
  • RUINS — GRAY / OMINOUS (Seg 11 PvP): Same destroyed build but ISOLATED. Only the plot in sight — no city, no surrounding builds. Gray trees, gray ground, desaturated everything, dark sky. The build exists alone in a dying world. This is the PvP arena — Rice's distorted memory of the fight against [Friend C]'s dark figure.
[Friend C] was framed as a thief by Rice, then attacked. Their build shows the violence — it wasn't decay, it was destruction. Rice stands in the ruins and looks at his hands in Seg 14.
Coordinates (To be filled by builder)

Friend D build
[Friend D]'s Build Addition
Segments: 14
Location: 346, 85, 5 — the yellow/green house with outdoor seating. Modify this existing build to fit [Friend D]'s character. Make it feel analytical, organized — methodical interior, clean, structured. Add a hidden chest inside containing Photo #4 — a timeline showing the friend group shrinking one by one. Caption: "It always ends the same way. It always ends with you." The build should feel like someone smart lived here — organized, intentional, everything in its place.
[Friend D] mapped Rice's pattern. Their build is the evidence locker. The hidden chest with Photo #4 is the most damning piece of evidence in the present-day investigation.
Coordinates (To be filled by builder)
346, 85, 5 (confirmed)
Hidden Room style reference
Rice's Hidden Room Addition
Segments: 16
This style but as a ROOM, not a corridor. Same stone brick / deepslate palette. Arched ceiling. Low, oppressive. Sparse torch lighting. But compact — a single room, not a hallway. Central table with other people's items laid out like a shrine or trophy case. Photo #5 on the table — a photo of Rice mid-attack, sword raised, with his own handwriting: "Don't forget what you did." The room SEALS PERMANENTLY after Rice leaves — deepslate over deepslate, smooth, inaccessible. Visited once.
Rice finds evidence of his own crimes stored under his own house. His mind hid this room from himself. The stolen items, the damning photo — all buried. On rewatch: he went hunting for proof of a conspiracy and found his own crime scene.
Coordinates (To be filled by builder)
Under Rice's house (teal house with googly eyes)

Landscaping / Simple

White Space
White Space Landscaping
Segments: 4910121517181930
A massive room of white concrete/wool stretching infinitely. A single lightbulb from nothing. A grand STONE GATEWAY — ornate arch, carved pillars, towering. The hub between sleep and dreams. Rice "wakes up" here before entering each flashback through the gateway.
Versions Needed (Progressive Decay)
  • Seg 4-9: Pristine. Pure white. Calm. Safe. Gateway intact.
  • Seg 10-15: Dark patches appearing. Gateway cracking. Less white, more gray at edges.
  • Seg 17-18: More dark than white. Gateway crumbling. Barely standing.
  • Seg 19: GONE. Gateway is rubble. Collapsed stone. Dark. No dream world left.
The dream world's lobby. Early: calm sanctuary. Late: suffocating prison. The gateway's progressive decay mirrors Rice's denial crumbling.

White Space original ref
White Space Minecraft
Void builds
Cold Open Void Landscaping
Segments: 1
Total darkness with entities. Uses the Dark World void floor but populated with WHITE FIGURES (fully white player models, no faces) and the RED FIGURE (crimson, jagged crown/horns, terrifying calm). The void feels alive — ambient hum, heartbeat sound, the figures emerging from darkness. Blood appears on Rice's hands with no visible source.
The hook. Unwinnable PvP fight. Rice dies. The Red Figure says "You know what you did." On rewatch: this was Dark Rice (guilt) trying to wake Rice up from the very first frame. The White Figures were his friends reaching for him.
Coordinates (To be filled by builder)

Black void world — infinite black concrete floor, no reference image needed
Dark World: Void Floor Landscaping
Segments: 17232426
The base layer. Infinite black concrete floor stretching in every direction. No walls. No ceiling. No horizon. Just darkness. This is the foundation for all Dark World builds — the doors, the town, the faceless area all sit ON this void. Used as connective tissue between Dark World locations and as the arena floor for the cold open fight.
The void that connects everything. Rice starts the video here (Seg 1) and returns in Act 3. The first time it's terrifying. The last time, he walks through it willingly.
Coordinates (To be filled by builder)

Black void world — build from description
Dark World: Punishment Area Landscaping
Segments: 1730
Black void world. A row of prison cells. Simple build — iron bars, deepslate/blackstone walls, tight corridors. 5 cells in a row. Each cell contains a small frozen diorama (miniature build scene showing what Rice did to each friend — use armor stands or white statues from the Faceless Area). The final cell is EMPTY — just an empty room with a sign on the wall: "THIS CELL IS FOR YOU." Below it, scratched into the wall: "I MANIPULATED MY BEST FRIEND." Red lighting (redstone torches or spotlights with red tint).
Guilt made physical. Each cell is a crime scene. The empty cell waiting for Rice. The video's own title carved into the Dark World. The white silhouette appears, points at the cell, then vanishes.
Coordinates (To be filled by builder)

Black void world — build from description
Dark World: The Doors Landscaping
Segments: 23242630
Black void world. Four dark oak doors in a row. Simple — just 4 doors standing in void, each lit by a spotlight beam from above (use end rods or glowstone behind blocks to create a beam effect). Names on signs next to each door: [Friend A], [Friend B], [Friend C], [Friend D]. Behind them, further away in deeper darkness — a FIFTH DOOR. Larger. No name. No spotlight. Easy build — the void does all the work. Spotlights go out one by one (remove light sources between shots).
THE CENTERPIECE. Seg 23-24. Behind each door: a replayed PvP fight with the friend's REAL face. Every fight the audience cheered was an atrocity. The spotlights going out = a visual countdown into total darkness. The fifth door leads to the Staircase.
Coordinates (To be filled by builder)

Black void world — no reference image needed, build from description
Dark World: Faceless Area Landscaping
Segments: 13
Black void world with scattered small builds and WHITE STATUES. Build small fragments of recognizable server locations (a table from the meeting spot, part of a house wall, a crafting area) scattered around the void — not connected, just floating islands of memory. Between and around the builds: white statues/figures made of white concrete or quartz. Ethereal, smooth, faceless — no player skin details, just blank white humanoid shapes. Frozen in everyday poses: sitting at a table, standing in a doorway, mid-swing of a pickaxe, reaching toward each other. Some reaching TOWARD the player with arms extended. Use armor stands with white leather armor or build small statue sculptures. Wall/sign inscription: "WHY DID YOU TAKE OUR FACES?" and "I MANIPULATED MY BEST FRIEND." Photo #3 found here in a chest.
Pure psychological horror. The faceless figures are Rice's friends — he can't remember their faces or names. "Why did you take our faces?" = why did you erase us? One figure slowly turns toward Rice at the end (single rotation of a static model).
Coordinates (To be filled by builder)

Rain Area
Dark World: Rain Area Landscaping
Segments: 15
VAST flat land. Endless rain. Dark sky. Like the reference — a huge, flat, empty landscape with scattered small bushes/trees and a single lamppost or light source where the female lead stands. Must feel enormous and empty — the player should feel tiny. Use rain weather command. Gray/muted palette. A few scattered cyan/teal bushes to break the flatness. A CLIFF at the far edge dropping into void. The white silhouette (female lead) is the only bright thing in the entire world. Build it BIG — the emptiness IS the point.
The female lead delivers the most important line so far: "They left because of you." Then she steps off the cliff edge. Falls backward. Dissolves into rain. Choosing to leave — not being taken. Because of Rice.
Coordinates (To be filled by builder)

Staircase
The Staircase Landscaping
Segments: 262930
A spiral staircase descending into black void. No walls. No ceiling. No floor beyond the stairs themselves. Just a spiral staircase going down into pure darkness. Stone brick or deepslate. Build it in a void world — total black surroundings. A single faint light source from above. Must feel lonely, monumental, and final. Simple build but the void sells it.
Behind the Fifth Door (Seg 26). The most devastating scene. The female lead stands at the bottom. "You did all of this." / "Goodbye, Rice." She walks down into the dark. The light follows her. Then she's gone. The origin of everything — the moment Rice's mind broke.
Coordinates (To be filled by builder)

Red Space
Red Space Landscaping
Segments: 27282930
Deep red and black. Oppressive. Visceral. Red concrete/red nether brick ground. Custom sky overlay — deep crimson clouds/smoke against pure black (see ref). The environment should feel like the inside of something alive — red fog, pulsing, reaching. Use red concrete, red terracotta, nether brick. Red lighting (redstone lamps/torches). The arena is a flat strip of ground with red smoke/clouds above and below — two figures facing each other in an infinite red void. Transition from the plains: grass changes to stone changes to red as they approach. The sky shifts from gray to deep crimson.
Seg 27-29. The climactic arena. Dark Rice emerges from the ruined house, walks with Rice across the corrupting plains into Red Space. Every hit Rice lands damages HIMSELF. His sword breaks. "Stay down." But Rice gets back up. Walks forward. Hugs Dark Rice. Dissolves into light. The fight ends with acceptance, not violence.

Red Space — visceral red
Red Space — red hands
Red Space — two figures
Deepslate cave — build from description
The Cave Landscaping
Segments: 16
Deep. Dark. Underground. Accessed through the tunnel beneath the hidden room (after the White Figures chase Rice down). The [Friend D] dark figure waits here — calm, patient. A duel arena. Deepslate and stone. Minimal light. Tight enough to feel claustrophobic but open enough for strategic PvP movement.
The [Friend D] PvP fight. The most strategic, human dark figure encounter. They salute before fighting. They say "I know what you did... I was trying to help." They reach for Rice's hand as they dissolve.
Coordinates (To be filled by builder)

Underground Tunnel
Underground Tunnel (Seg 16) Landscaping
Segments: 16
Same stone brick corridor style as Seg 7 tunnel (see ref) but shorter and more urgent. Distinct from the Seg 7 tunnel — this one is a straight shot DOWN. Created by White Figures forming a gap — Rice flees through it into darkness. Leads from the hidden room into the cave. Stone and deepslate. NO torches — completely dark. Rice runs through in a panic. The White Figures don't follow — they just watch him go.
A connective piece between the hidden room discovery and the [Friend D] duel. The panic of fleeing the White Figures drives Rice deeper underground, where the truth is waiting.
Coordinates (To be filled by builder)

Isolated Plains
Isolated Plains + Farlands Landscaping
Segments: 3272930
The most iconic wide shot in the video. Flat, empty plains stretching to the horizon. Fog. No trees. No builds. Just grass and nothing. In the background — towering, impossible — the MINECRAFT FARLANDS. Massive distorted terrain walls. Corrupted generation. Jagged stone pillars reaching into a dark sky. Mist drifting across the flatlands. Rice's house sits alone — a single lit window in infinite emptiness.
Versions Needed
  • Seg 3: Rice's house intact. Single light. Fog. Dark figure materializes from black smoke. First PvP arena.
  • Seg 27: Same plains, same Farlands — but the house is RUINED. Walls crumbled. Roof caved in. Vines. Dark Rice emerges from the ruin. They walk together toward the Farlands as the world corrupts into Red Space.
The visual thesis: Rice is profoundly, devastatingly alone. The Farlands are the edge of reality — his mind at the boundary of what it can sustain. Seg 3 is where it starts. Seg 27 is where it ends. Full circle.

New Builds (Difficult)

Vast Forest
Vast Forest New Build — MOST IMPORTANT
Segments: 569192930
THE golden age location. An impossibly beautiful Minecraft forest. Oversized flowers — massive, taller than a player, bright pinks/yellows/blues. Giant custom trees stretching higher than normal. Warm golden light. Glowing particles in the air. Everything luminous, too saturated, too beautiful — like a memory polished until it shines. This is where the friends were happy. The most important build in the video.
Versions Needed (4 States)
  • GOLDEN (Seg 5): Perfect. Warm. Saturated. The ideal memory. Must feel SUPER LARGE and VAST — not a small clearing, but an enormous, sprawling, impossibly big forest with dense oversized trees, waterfalls, and golden light everywhere. Scale it way up in Minecraft.
  • AMBER / CRACKED (Seg 6): Same forest but light shifted to amber/autumnal. Swap some leaf colors to orange/brown. One dead gray flower among the color. Subtle — viewer shouldn't immediately notice the shift.
  • DYING (Seg 9): Same forest, gray twilight. Replace golden light with dim gray. Flowers wilting (smaller, drooping). Trees losing leaves (sparse canopy). Color draining from everything. Two dead gray flowers now. Feels like autumn turning to winter. Could use frozen/white tree style.
  • DEAD (Seg 19): Same forest, completely gray. Leafless bone-trunk trees (strip all leaves). Ash flowers crumbling. Cracked earth (replace grass with gray concrete/gravel). Dark sky, snow particles. Then it COLLAPSES — trees topple, ground breaks open into void. A crater at center where the golden age memory was. The most devastating visual in the video.
The emotional heart of the video. First visit makes the audience fall in love. Last visit (Seg 19) kills it — the most beautiful place dies. The female lead's final dream-world line happens here: "You can still remember us. Even without all of this."

The Beautiful Castle
The Beautiful Castle New Build
Segments: 1012212230
A massive, ornate Minecraft castle. Pink terracotta/concrete. Grand hallways with pillars, stained glass windows, chandeliers. Gold accents. Library with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. A stage area. Warm torchlight. Banners. A LONG TABLE for group feasts (6 chairs). Opulent, dramatic, slightly excessive. Think a huge arena/castle — grand courtyard with towers, but also detailed interiors.
Versions Needed (5 States — 2 Full Maps)
  • WARM VERSION: Pink/gold. Pristine. Torchlight. Banners. Long table with food. Everyone there. Beautiful. Grand interior with pillars and stained glass.
  • DARK VERSION: Same layout, same room — but swap pink for gray blocks. Cracked walls. No banners. No torchlight. Cobwebs. Dust. Decay. Empty chairs. Dead. Hard cut — the audience sees the same castle but ruined.
  • Seg 10: Slightly wrong — same warm castle but proportions are off, halls that dead-end, doors that open to walls, rooms that loop. Subtle wrongness the viewer can't quite place.
  • Seg 12: Decaying — cracks appearing in walls, library shelves collapsing, void visible through cracks in the floor. The dream is failing.
  • Seg 21-22: Fully restored warm version → hard cut to dark version → dark version breaks apart, floor opens into void, Rice falls. The final shattering of the dream.
The false comfort location. Seg 21-22 is the Act 3 trap — the audience gets one last beautiful dream (warm castle, friends at the table) before it shatters. [Friend D] hands Rice a book. Last page: "WAKE UP." The warm version dies. The dark version breaks.

Deep Well
Deep Well / Underwater Highway New Build
Segments: 1830
NOT actually underwater — blue-themed builds with a custom sky overlay to FEEL like the ocean floor. Build everything on land but make it all blue/cyan/dark blue blocks. Custom sky resource pack or shader to tint everything deep blue-green. Coral-like decorations (use coral blocks, sea pickles, kelp). A long road/highway running through the middle. Drowned versions of server builds lining both sides — recognizable builds from the SMP rebuilt in blue/dark palette, decaying. Inside them: frozen scenes of friends in happy moments. Bubble particles (campfire smoke tinted?). Faint sea lantern light. Oppressive. Beautiful and suffocating. The road ends at NOTHING — just darkness.
Seg 18. Rice walks the highway. The drowned buildings contain his happiest memories — sinking, unreachable. The female lead sinks into the abyss below. The road ends at nothing. Deep, dark nothing. Everything is going DOWN.

Lost Library
The Lost Library New Build
Segments: 2530
Vast. Towering. Endless. Bookshelves stretching up into darkness — no visible ceiling. Rows upon rows extending in every direction. Dark blue/navy atmosphere with warm amber lantern accents. Dead trees growing between the shelves (like the references — gnarled, bare). A massive centerpiece tree with golden leaves. Stone floors. Carpeted center area with a long table. Books everywhere — stacked, shelved, piled, open on tables. Feels ancient and eerie but also lived-in — someone has been tending this place for a long time.
Seg 25. The breathing room between the four doors and the fifth. A cloaked figure (Library Rice — the version who never forgot) tends the archive. Each friend has a book. An unnamed book (Rice's own) sits on the table. Not warm, not hostile — neutral. An archive of truth.

The Tunnel
The Tunnel (Seg 7) New Build
Segments: 7
Long stone brick corridor (see ref) that dissolves into void. Start with a proper tunnel like the reference — arched stone brick ceiling, wide corridor, sparse torches far apart, long vanishing point perspective. Make it LONG. As Rice goes deeper, it morphs: cracks appear, stone gives way to deepslate, then darker blocks. Walls start disappearing. Ceiling goes. Floor becomes black concrete. The tunnel DISSOLVES into pure void. Behind Rice: gone. Ahead: floating lit memory dioramas — small builds (rooms, tables, rooftops) ingrained into the black void (see void-builds ref). Scrambled signs.
Rice follows a White Figure into the tunnel. It keeps going and going until reality dissolves. The memory dioramas in the void are fragments of the server — foreshadowing the full truth. The tunnel ends at a red-lit crack where the [Friend B] PvP fight happens.

Dark World: Town
Dark World: Town New Build
Segments: 8
A distorted town in the void. Black/dark gray blocks. Wrong proportions — doors too tall, windows in wrong places, buildings overlapping/melting into each other. A sourceless gray glow. Black sky. Scrambled signs with mixed-up letters. Furniture facing wrong directions. The SMP town, but remembered WRONG — like a copy of a copy of a copy. Photo #2 found here in a distorted house's chest.
Rice's first Dark World visit (Seg 8). He chases the white silhouette (female lead) through distorted streets. She keeps fading and reappearing. He can't catch her. She speaks one rare line: "Why did you do it?" Then she rushes at him — cut — Rice wakes up.

SMP Town
The SMP Town / City Existing — No build needed
Segments: 123714162030
A full city map. Large-scale, detailed — roads, town square with fountain, capitol/civic building, individual houses, shops, parks, trees. High production value builds. Everything intact but EMPTY. No one in the streets. Chests left open. Beds unmade. Signs with old messages. Personal items left behind — like everyone vanished mid-day. The city's scale makes the emptiness more devastating — all this, built for many, occupied by one.
The audience's first impression of the real world. Must establish EMPTINESS — a world built for many, occupied by one. The architecture is the character. Wind through abandoned structures.

Rice's House
Rice's House Existing — No build needed
Segments: 1231620
The teal/cyan house with googly eyes on the roof. Distinctive, recognizable — dark roof, teal walls, big white googly eyes. Sits at the edge of the city near trees and a parking area. Clean exterior that stands out. Interior is neglected — dust, cobwebs, overflowing chests, half-eaten food. Bed, window with morning light, nightstand. This is where Rice wakes up, goes to sleep, lays out photos. The exterior is THE MASK — everything looks fine from outside.
Where Rice's internal world meets the external. He sleeps here, triggering flashback transitions. In Seg 20, he lays out all the photos on the bed and says "I'm scared."
