"I Manipulated My Best Friend
On This Minecraft SMP"

Story Progression — 30 Segments, ~60 Minutes
A Minecraft Animation / Psychological Horror

The Premise: Rice wakes up alone on a Minecraft server with no memory. His friends are gone. Dark figures attack him. In his dreams, he visits beautiful worlds where everyone was happy. The audience roots for Rice as he investigates what happened and fights to survive.

The Twist: Rice is the reason everyone left. The dark figures are his friends. The PvP fights were Rice attacking people who tried to help him. The beautiful dreams were his mind rewriting his crimes as heroism. The audience was cheering for the villain the entire time.

Finale

Act 1 — "The Lie"

Segments 1-9 / ~18 minutes / The audience believes Rice completely.
1
TERROR
The Void — Cold Open
BLACK. Rice wakes in an infinite void. White Figures surround him — faceless, white, reaching. He fights them. A Red Figure appears: "You know what you did." Rice dies. Wakes up gasping in his empty base.
On rewatch: The Red Figure = Dark Rice (his guilt). The White Figures = his friends, reaching for him. The void = the Dark World. This was the truth trying to wake him up from frame one.
2
DESOLATE
The Empty Server
Rice explores the server alone. Beautiful builds, nobody in them. Finds Photo #1 — a group shot, caption: "I hope you remember us." Sits at the meeting spot. Five empty chairs. Sees a White Figure between the trees.
3
ADRENALINE
The First Attack
Rice's house alone on infinite plains. Farlands on the horizon. A Dark Figure appears from black smoke. Garbled voice: "...you lied...to her..." Intense first-person PvP. Rice wins. The audience cheers.
On rewatch: This was [Friend A] trying to confront Rice about his manipulation. Rice attacked them.
4
WONDER
White Space
Rice falls asleep. Opens his eyes in an infinite white void — a single lightbulb, a grand stone gateway. Calm. Safe. He steps through the gateway into color and warmth.
5
BEAUTIFUL
Vast Forest — The Golden Age
The most beautiful location in the video. Oversized flowers, golden light, giant trees. The friends are HERE — all six of them. The female lead pulls Rice into the group. Montage of the golden age. Rice narrates over it — warm, broken, missing this. "I don't want to wake up."
6
UNEASY
Vast Forest — The First Crack
Still in the forest but the light has shifted to amber. Rice watches from the edge — the group seems to be excluding him. Whispering, glancing, plans he's not part of. A memory glitches — for one frame, they're just happy. Normal. Not plotting against him. One flower turns gray.
On rewatch: The friends were never excluding Rice. They were just being friends. Rice's mind distorted normal interactions into conspiracy.
7
UNSETTLING
The Tunnel
Night. Rice follows a White Figure into a tunnel that dissolves into void. Floating memory dioramas in the dark. A second Dark Figure — barely fights back. They kill each other. Mutual destruction.
On rewatch: [Friend B] didn't want to fight. They were trying to leave. Rice cornered them. The "mutual kill" was self-defense.
8
CURIOUS
The Dark World — Distorted Town
A distorted dark town in the void — wrong proportions, scrambled signs, melting houses. Rice chases a white silhouette (the female lead). She speaks one line: "Why did you do it?" Finds Photo #2: "It was never them. Look closer."
9
DECAYING
Vast Forest — Dying
Back in Vast Forest but it's dying. Gray twilight. Wilting flowers. Trees losing leaves. Rice remembers [Friend A] being "aggressive" — his distorted version. The forest keeps decaying. Rice's version of events: [Friend A] betrayed the group.

End of Act 1

The audience trusts Rice completely. They hate the dark figures. They love the dream world. They want Rice to solve the mystery. Everything is a lie.

Act 2 — "The Cracks"

Segments 10-20 / ~22 minutes / The truth starts bleeding through. The audience begins to doubt.
10
CRACKING
The Beautiful Castle — The Memory
The Beautiful Castle — a grand pink castle. But something's wrong. Halls that lead nowhere. Proportions that don't make sense. Rice's memory of the female lead's build, distorted.
11
INTENSE
Third Fight — The Ruins
Third Dark Figure in [Friend C]'s ruins. Fast, chaotic, screaming. Distorted: "STOP! PLEASE!" The figure stops fighting. Just stands there. Lets Rice do it.
On rewatch: [Friend C] was panicking. Running for their life. They gave up because there was nowhere left to go.
12
CRACKING
Castle — The Theft
Rice's version: [Friend C] stole from the group. But the memory glitches — for one flash, the hands reaching into the chest are Rice's hands. The female lead looks at RICE with the expression of betrayal. The castle starts crumbling.
13
DREAD
The Dark World — Faceless Area
Structures in the void with faceless mannequin figures. Frozen in everyday poses but with no faces. They're building things from the real server. Wall inscription: "WHY DID YOU TAKE OUR FACES?" and "I MANIPULATED MY BEST FRIEND." Photo #3: "Look in the mirror. Really look."
14
PARANOID — MIDPOINT
The Evidence
Rice investigates the server like a crime scene. [Friend B]'s items packed neatly. [Friend C]'s build destroyed. In [Friend D]'s build: Photo #4 — the group shrinking one by one. Caption: "It always ends the same way. It always ends with you." Rice's mind flips: he thinks he's the target. They were all conspiring against him.
15
ISOLATION
The Dark World — Rain Area
Flat dark land. Endless rain. The female lead stands in the rain — the only light. She speaks: "They left because of you." She steps off the cliff. Falls backward. Dissolves into rain.
16
DESPERATE
The House — Fourth Fight
Rice finds a hidden room under his house — stolen items, Photo #5 of Rice mid-attack with his own handwriting: "Don't forget what you did." White Figures attack. He flees underground. Fourth Dark Figure — fights strategically, salutes before the duel. "...you need...help...please..." The room seals permanently.
On rewatch: [Friend D] figured out everything. They weren't fighting — they were trying to talk. The salute was a friend's goodbye.
17
OPPRESSIVE
The Dark World — Punishment Area
A prison. Each cell contains a frozen diorama of what Rice did to each friend. The last cell is empty. Sign: "THIS CELL IS FOR YOU." Below it: "I MANIPULATED MY BEST FRIEND."
18
SINKING
Deep Well — Drowning
An Underwater Highway — a road at the bottom of the sea lined with drowned server builds. The friends are frozen inside, happy, unreachable. The female lead sinks into the abyss. The road ends at nothing. Rice's narration voice is cracking — the deadpan is failing.
19
GRIEF
Vast Forest — Death
The Vast Forest is dead. Gray, leafless, crumbling. The forest collapses — trees topple, ground breaks into void. A crater where the golden age memory was. The female lead: "You can still remember us. Even without all of this." She fades. The safe place is gone. No more dreams.
20
RESOLVE — END OF ACT 2
The Choice
Rice lays out all 4 photos on his bed. "They all point here." He sits at the meeting spot. The empty chairs. "I keep trying to remember... and something stops me. Like there's a wall in my head." He goes to bed. "I'm scared." Two words. No deflection. He closes his eyes.

End of Act 2

The audience is terrified. The evidence is screaming. Rice hasn't confessed — but the smart viewers have pieced it together. The dreams are dead. There's nothing left to escape to. Act 3 is the fall.

Act 3 — "The Truth"

Segments 21-30 / ~20 minutes / Everything is revealed. Nothing can be undone.
21
FALSE COMFORT
The Castle — The Golden Memory
Rice falls asleep and wakes in the Beautiful Castle — pristine. Beautiful. The friends are all there. Laughing. The female lead smiles and waves him over. It's perfect. But for one frame — a flicker. The walls crack. The friends go dark. Then it resets. Beautiful again.
22
SHATTERING
Castle — "WAKE UP"
The friends are wrong. Frozen in poses. Empty plates. [Friend D] holds a book. Rice opens it — all blank except the last page: "WAKE UP." Hard cut — dark version of the castle. Empty. Dead. The book survives the cut. The castle breaks. Rice falls.
23
HORROR
The Dark World — The Doors (Door 1)
Four doors in the void, each lit by a spotlight. Names scratched into them. A fifth door — no name, no light. Rice opens Door 1 ([Friend A]). The Seg 3 PvP replays — but the dark figure now has [Friend A]'s real face. They weren't attacking. They were saying "What are you DOING?"
24
DEVASTATING
Doors 2, 3, 4
Rapid fire. Each PvP replayed with the friend's real face. [Friend B] — hands up, no sword, cornered. [Friend C] — screaming "STOP!", gave up running. [Friend D] — saluted goodbye, reached for Rice's hand: "...you need help...please..." Spotlights go out one by one. Total darkness.
25
QUIET
The Lost Library
A vast library. A cloaked figure tends it. Each friend has a book — the truth from their perspective. The figure pulls back their hood: it's Rice. The version who never forgot. An unnamed book sits on the table — Rice's own story. He can't open it yet.
26
ANNIHILATING
The Fifth Door — The Staircase
A grand staircase in the void. At the bottom: the female lead. The real one. "You did all of this." / "I don't hate you. I wish I did." / "Goodbye, Rice." She walks down the stairs into the dark. Gone. Rice's mind explains the amnesia — after she left, his mind just closed. Erased everything.
27
CONFRONTATION
The Crumbled House — Red Space
Rice's house on the plains — ruined. A figure steps out: Dark Rice. Crimson skin, red eyes — the Red Figure from Segment 1. They walk together across the plains as the world corrupts into Red Space. Red concrete, crimson sky, heartbeat hum. "You know who I am."
28
SELF-DESTRUCTION
Rice vs. Rice
The final PvP. But every hit Rice lands damages himself. Dark Rice doesn't take damage. "You can't hurt me. I'm the truth." Rice's sword breaks. No weapon. No health. "Stay down. Forget again. Build another dream world."
29
TRANSCENDENCE
The Choice — Acceptance
Rice gets back up. No sword. Just standing. Walks toward Dark Rice. Each hit triggers a flashback — the golden forest, the fights, the friends, the staircase. He falls. Gets back up. Falls. Gets back up. Reaches Dark Rice and hugs him. Dark Rice dissolves into light. Two halves become one. "I'm not going to forget again."
30
MONTAGE — FINALE
"The Server Is Still Open"
Cinematic montage. Music-synced cuts — beautiful and horrifying moments alternating with dialogue fragments from the entire video. Then a shift: "These places exist." "Built in Minecraft." "If you look for them... you'll find what he left behind." The empty server. A book on the table: "I manipulated my best friend."

[Rice] has left the game.
[Rice] is trying to reconnect...
"The server is still open."

The Core Twist

First watch: A mystery/survival story that becomes psychological horror. The audience roots for Rice, cheers during PvP fights, falls in love with the dream world, and slowly realizes they've been watching through the eyes of the villain.

Second watch: A horror film from the first frame. Every PvP fight is Rice attacking a friend. Every flashback is a lie. Every garbled voice is a real scream. The photos are evidence. The title is a confession. The audience was manipulated — just like Rice manipulated his friends.

The psychology: Rice genuinely doesn't remember what he did. His mind repressed everything — built a dream world to hide in, turned his friends into faceless monsters, kept the female lead alive only in dreams because it couldn't accept she left. The video is Rice's mind breaking open, one memory at a time, until there's nothing left to hide behind.
